Let sleeping dogs lie

1 Mistress number three has now received her high-profile appointment, so all's well again - at least for the time being. His wife is aware of the connection, but her husband is not, and friends are letting sleeping dogs lie.

Golden opportunity

2 Some are saying that the wife is missing a golden opportunity to step in and provide some leadership at this critical juncture.

Hide and walk?

3 The neighbours are amused as they are saying that the very-much-profiled motor vehicle - which was the pride and joy of the businessman - that was always on display at the front of the house, has not been seen there for sometime now. Word, it is no longer the preferred means of transportation and is parked elsewhere at nights to prevent the bailiffs from taking possession.

What's the secret?

4 Was the fire accidental, is the question some are asking about equipment, material, and needed supplies going up in smoke recently. But why so hush-hush about it?

Finally, he has left

5 For many, the question was not why was he fired, but why did it take so long?

Taking the back burner

6 Some are asking if she is being sidelined by her colleagues, as recent events have seen a number of 'spokesmen' stepping up to the microphone to speak, instead of her, and there is concern that it does not reflect positively on the administration.

All about the bling

7 When the 'Missus' and her best friend were out recently, they saw the 'Missus' sporting identical jewellery to that being worn by the wife. The wife, feeling totally flummoxed, did not know what type of response would be appropriate. The best friend had no such qualms and walked up to the mistress and slapped her silly. No charges were preferred and the wife is now sporting a new collection of jewellery.

Olint 'mash up' business

8 The effects are already being felt, especially in the real-estate sector, as there is a slowdown in new construction and high-rentals are dropping. There is also talk that the prices of once-prohibitive luxury automobiles have fallen to their lowest levels since the Olint fallout.

Good advice?

9 Did he or did he not tender his resignation, and was asked to reconsider, which he did, under advisement?
