Four jockeys get suspensions
published: Friday | October 17, 2008

Apprentice Oral Bennett, who rode disqualified winner SHADOWS in the ninth race on Wednesday, October 1, was suspended for three racedays by the stewards for the interference caused to CHANGES ARE and LADY PARABATTIE between the half mile and 300-metre point of the course. His suspension takes effect tomorrow.

Apprentice Delroy Beharie, who rode SONOR in the sixth race on Saturday, September 20, was suspended for two racedays for the interference caused to THE-DIVINEKING in the vicinity of the 1200-metre pole. His suspension will take effect on Saturday, October 25.

Jockey Patrick Henry Jr ,who rode disqualified winner NIKITIS in the sixth race on Wednesday, October 1, was suspended for two racedays for the interference caused to LEAVE ME ALONE in the vicinity of the 200-metre point. Henry's suspension will take effect tomorrow.

Jockey Leo Miller, who rode SHE'S OUTRAGEOUS in the ninth race on Wednesday, September 24, was suspended for two racedays for the interference caused to THE BEST MAN in the vicinity of the 200-metre point. Miller's suspension embraces tomorrow and Monday, Heroes Day.

The jockey was also suspended for three racedays for interferences caused to NIKITIS in the vicinity of the 500-metre point and DOUBLE RALLY while riding THREE GOOD FRIENDS on October 1.
