WESTERN BUREAU:

THE TWO teams that will contest Sunday's final of the Western Basketball Association/Fruta/Oasis Purified Water Development League will be decided following tomorrow's semi-final doubleheader featuring the top four teams from last weekend's quarter-final games.

In the semi-finals, to be played at the Montego Bay Cricket Club courts, Central Flames will battle Blazers at 6:00 p.m. and Hopewell Vipers go up against Boys Warriors at 8:00 p.m.

In last weekend's quarter-final games, Central Flames and Hopewell Vipers, who qualified for the quarter-finals by virtue of finishing first and second in Group One of the competition's preliminary round, and MoBay Boys' Club Warriors and Blazers, the qualifiers from Group Two, all had good victories to seal their places in the semi-finals.

Stinging form

Central Flames were all the rage in their game against Inner-City Avalanche, spanking them 89-51. The Hopewell Vipers were in stinging form as they got by City Knights 56-46.

Unbeaten Boys' Club Warriors made sure of their place in the semi-finals with a fairly comfortable 60-45 win against Negril Power Rangers.

In the last of the quarter-finals, Blazers blew past Tornadoes, 68-52.
