For the future of MoBay

The Editor, Sir:

Regardless of what the critics might be saying, Montego Bay has come a long way since its city status in 1980. The city fathers' vision of development for the Second City has certainly escalated in many areas over the years.

For instance, Montegonians should be very proud of the expansion and developments, particularly in the areas of tourism, housing and its physical infrastructure.

However, I am concerned about the deplorable condition of the roads in most of the surrounding communities leading into the city. For Montego Bay to continue on the development and expansion pathway, there should be a strategic alliance among the powers that be, the private sector and public entities focusing on a specific development plan for Montegonians.
