The Editor, Sir:This letter is directed to the minister responsible for youth matters, Ms Olivia Grange.
Dear Ms Grange,
On behalf of the youths Of Central St Mary, we thank you for launching the new youth programme which is called SYEAT.
My cousin who is a lecturer in Miami says it is an example of an active labour market policy to lower youth unemployment, which in Central St Mary can be as high as 60 per cent sometimes, as the average 33 per cent that Statin and the PIOJ speak of does not apply to us.
My cousin says that the people who were in there before you practised passive labour market policies which do not benefit the youths; apparently in such countries as France and Germany, a similar programme to this has worked for their youths.
We look forward to gain big benefits from this programme, especially the numeracy and literacy part, as a lot of youths in Central St Mary are very dark in their behaviour and thinking.
Once again, thanks to you, Ms Grange, for giving us this new programme. What was not clear Ms Grange, how and where can we register?
I am, etc.,
