  • Illinois has 21 electoral votes and is considered a blue state (Democrat).

  • WNUR is Chicago's leading Jamaican radio station.

  • The Chicago Music Awards, which recognises the best in Caribbean culture, is held in January.

  • The Chicago Caribbean Jerkfest takes place in June.

  • The Caribbean Festival and Jamaican Independence Celebration and the Chicago Reggae Festival are held each August.

  • McCain's home state is Arizona.

  • The state has 10 electoral votes and is considered a red state (Republican).
