Trapped again in the gorge

The Editor, Sir: Once again, heavy rains have forced the closure of the Bog Walk gorge. Of even greater concern, several persons were trapped in the gorge yet again. The request has been made before for the gorge to be abandoned as the primary route of transportation to the north coast, which remains vital for tourism interests.

The Editor, Sir: Your editorial of October 23, captioned, 'Crashing the glass ceiling at Sabina', is most unfortunate and demonstrates what happens when uninformed views are put forward as fact. For you and the public's information, may I make the following points.

The Editor, Sir: IN THE Gleaner of Thursday, October 30 (Page 2), I observed the picture of a very frustrated, distraught police officer, as he sat in a vehicle at a scene where one of his colleagues was slain. I could not help thinking of what I would be thinking and maybe done, had I found myself in his position.
