Brittany's Regal wardrobe
published: Monday | November 3, 2008

Now, the only thing missing from this Uzuri dress is the 2008 Miss World crown on Miss Lyons' pretty little head. - Winston Sill/Freelance Photographer

How many outfits does a girl really need? Well, when you're Miss Jamaica World 2008, Brittany Lyons, and about to leave for the Miss World competition in Johannesburg, South Africa ... a lot!

Lyons gave the media a sneak peek of her wardrobe at Spartan Health Club on Lady Musgrave Road, last Wednesday.

And what a wardrobe it was! Then again, when you're as beautiful as Miss Lyons, you make anything look good.

Designers such as Keneea Linton, Poshe, T and T Fashion, Shades of Africa, Neahlis, Uzuri International and the Jamaica Apparel Fashion Cluster, all came together to give her a wardrobe fitting her station. That was topped off with hats and accessories from Cinderella Hats, Beyond Jewellery and Reve.

The Jamaica Apparel Fashion Cluster, which includes Shades of Africa, Keneea Linton, Yola Grey, Julan, POSHE, So-Ann's Blaazin Swim Wear, Akira-Lyn, Heather Layne and Valerie's, will be contributing 30 pieces to Lyons' wardrobe. Neahlis contributed five and 18 came from Uzuri International. Now, that's a lot of suitcases!

To help her showcase the gorgeous pieces, Lyons was joined by Miss Jamaica World Sports, Yanique Levy.

The subtle oohs and ahhs clearly showed what pieces the audience liked. And while rain clouds darkened the Wednesday afternoon sky, the pieces, all made in Jamaica, kept the interior of Spartan Health Club beautiful and bright. Lyons leaves the island for the Miss World contest in South Africa in two weeks.
