ST JOHN'S, Antigua (CMC):

It has been confirmed that reigning champions Jamaica will open their campaign against Barbados at Bourda when The West Indies One-Day tournament begins on November 13.

The unsponsored championship runs from November 13 to 23 with nine teams participating, the traditional six territorial teams - Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and Windward Islands being joined by the Combined Campuses & Colleges, the USA and Canada.

Opening round

In the other opening round games on November 13, Canada will play Leeward Islands at Everest and hosts Guyana meet Windward Islands at Providence.

The format is not a round-robin but dictates that teams face each other for the first few rounds on a seeding set-up.

The two semi-finals finals are fixed for November 21 and 22 at the National Stadium at Providence, and the final will be played on November 23 also at the National Stadium.
