John Lynch leaves Sandals
published: Friday | November 7, 2008

Lynch

John Lynch, the executive vice- president for worldwide sales in Unique Vacations, is leaving the company today after 16 years with the Sandals Group.

An internal memo on Wednesday advised staff that Lynch, who is also chairman of the Jamaica Tourist Board, was leaving to pursue "interests on behalf of Jamaica and the Caribbean" via the JTB.

Unique Vacations is the sales arm for Sandals, Jamaica's largest hotel chain owned by Gordon 'Butch' Stewart.

Lynch has worked in tourism for decades, including other senior positions in the JTB, both here and overseas. He is younger brother to Patrick Lynch, Stewart's point man on finance.
