A frighteningly good time!

Western Bureau:

Walking through the cobweb-enshrouded darkness with an eerie mummy, your only companion and a jack-o-lantern the only light, even the least superstitious among patrons may have been a bit spooked.

And fittingly so, because the occasion was another fab Full Moon Frolic Halloween party at the Groovy Grouper in Montego Bay. We can't guarantee that many of those present are familiar with the Celtic tradition of Somhain which became All Hallow's Eve and later Halloween, but what we can say is that an enormous amount of creativity went into the costumes. From wenches to angels, every kind of costume imaginable was worn and there were some new hits like the Facebook mascot!

Flocking the dance floor

With DJ Crazy Neil at the turntables, patrons could not resist flocking to the dance floor as they were hit with soca, dance and dancehall music among a slew of hits from other genres.

Out to party were managing director of Iberostar, Philipp Hofer, and his wife Fernanda; Chukka Caribbean's Paola Byles; photographer Suki McDonald Kapahi; Wine With Me's Cecile Levee; MBJ's Elizabeth Scotton; Linda Dear; Horace and Dominique Peterkin; Sheila Khiatani, among other movers and shakers from in and around Montego Bay.
