Weather report
published: Sunday | November 9, 2008

It rains every day,

No matter what the weather report says.

I've grown so accustomed to it,

Putting on my raincoat is like putting on my bra.

There are days that I'd welcome the brightness of the sun

But I find that I must refuse the false hope that it brings, because I know it will rain the following day.

I don't always want to be right,

Some days I want to be human, too.

I want to be as human as the people who predict the weather.

It's no fun when you know the outcome of each day before dawn.

As a child, they'd say I was special,

Little did they know, my pride controlled my tear glands.

Still, today, no one sees it, no one knows

But it rains inside me every day.

------------

The ant scolds the man

We contact each other to share, when we find a meal

Before thinking of sharing you complain that it's not a fair deal

We are small so we work together staying strong-willed

You are bigger and you'd rather destroy than build.

If one of us is injured or weak we join in to help it up the trail

If one of you is down he is called worthless, pathetic or frail

We are prompt and busy to get what we want.

You are often lazy, but want the best so that you can flaunt.

If I break a leg my partner runs to get assistance

If you get in trouble they condemn and keep their distance

When opportunity is sensed, we make sure we can all benefit

But you all fight each other to see who'll be the first to get it.

Debt free, indeed!

In these troubled times, problems concerning

finance arise

Be careful how you manage your money

You might work for nothing and it's not funny

Where wages go through different stages, for some people, it is in fact, hot

Can't pay your rent or prepare food in the pot, or even worse,

Sick in hospital with no form of income to assist your own health.

Sometimes ask for assistance from family or friends. 'Things rough' some would say,

Maybe you will get through or maybe you won't

Still, you don't give up, just remember nothing lasts forever and you will

Prosper.

Debt free, mind free and health free to live peacefully in these troubled times.

- Gavin Green

Rain rhapsody

From crescendos of thunder

Comes splattering, falling

Cadence of showers

Like long legatos

Sliding along

Rain comes like percussion

On rooftops

Steady beats fall

Drumming along

With allegro lightning

Comes fast, bubbly

Drops playing here and there

Like the busy hands of a conductor

Before an orchestra.

Rain comes

From soft, tender clouds

Drizzling tinkling, triangle tunes

Timidly tingling along .

- T.Rolle

--------Do not enter

Professional addiction.

Professional suicide, nice and slow

Teacher over two years equal frustration

T plus O plus T plus Y equals F

Teacher's final report card graded F

Failure. Frustration. Foolish.

Teacher really get F?

- Vivienne Grant
