Bernard and Hinds in Portmore showdown

Hinds

OUT-OF-favour West Indies players Wavell Hinds and David Bernard Jr will turn out for Portsmouth in today's Petcom/-MegaMart Portmore Metropolitan Cricket League final against Colours International at Ken's Wildflower ground, starting at 11 a.m.

Hinds and Bernard will carry the bulk of the workload in both departments, but can expect solid support from Akeem Dyer and Roland Henry.

Kemar Marshall and Richard Johnson, who scored half centuries in the semi-finals, along with David Morgan, are the form players for Colours International.

Colours International, in their semi-final, beat archrivals Ken's Wildflower by 48 runs.

Scores: Colours International 201-8 off 35 overs (Marshall 59, Johnson 57; Myron Chin 3-28, Robert Cato 2-29); Ken's Wildflower 153 all out in 28 overs (Camelio Ricketts 42, Kirk Brooks 34, Junior Stewart 32; Johnson 3-31, Dexter Barnaby 2-28, Kerry Scott 2-28, Marshall 2-33).

Defeated

In the other semi-final, Ports-mouth defeated MegaMart Development Squad by six wickets at the Bridgeport sports ground.

Scores: MegaMart Development Squad 125 all out in 34 overs (Ramone Senior 37, Vander Rowe 29; David Bernard Jr 3-14, Raymond Brown 2-10, Okeen Dyer 2-16); Portsmouth 126-4 in 34 overs (Bernard Jr 38, Roland Henry 30; Ransford Merchant 2-13, Gary Herbine 2-31).
