Ben Francis champions St James High, Lennon High and Spaldings High could each move within a point of securing a semi-final spot in the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup today, should they emerge victorious in second-round quarter-final games.

In Group One, leaders St James High (3) and Lennon (3) will square off in the first game of a Jarrett Park double-header, starting at 1p.m. In the second game in the group, Frome Technical (0) and St Thomas Technical (0) will clash in the first game of a St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) double-header.

Over in Group Two, surprise leaders Spaldings High (3) will battle Lacovia High (1) in the second game of the STETHS double-header, while Rusea's (0) and Dinthill (1) will lock horns in the second game of the Jarrett Park double-header.

Based on the first-round result and their general form this season, an epic clash is anticipated between St James and Lennon, which have both lost only once in all competitions this season.

"We are ready and fully focused," said Pastor Hugh Solomon, coach of St James. "Confidence is very high as we strongly believe we will win the daCosta Cup as well."

However, having conquered the likes of former champions Claren-don College, Vere Technical and St Elizabeth Technical (STETHS) this season, Lennon should not be intimidated by St James and they are expected to give a good account of themselves.
