More of Mojah
published: Friday | November 28, 2008

( L - R ) Fanton Mojah Madonna

The demand for Fanton Mojah among promoters in Europe, the Caribbean, South Africa and the United States is increasing steadily, especially since the release of his new album, Stronger, on Greensleeves Records.

Like many of his fellow Jamaican reggae artistes and entertainers who are adamant about creating conscious and uplifting music, Fanton Mojah's music has withstood the demand for the more trendy dancehall. Fanton Mojah's music over the years has held steadfast to the authentic reggae vibe, which tends to realign people with their path of love and unity.

  • Madonna 'cleanses out' remainders of Guy

Madonna has hired a 'cleansing expert' to help her throw away any clothes that remind her of Guy Ritchie. The singer has reportedly hired the expert to help 'de-clutter' her life and remove any association with Guy, following the decree nisi - the first part of their divorce. A source said: "Madonna wants a clean start. She is spending thousands of pounds on a specialist in New York to help her banish any items of clothing which may remind her of her ex.

    Techniques

The cleanser has several techniques to invoke feelings in customers and bases decisions on what should go and what should stay on these reactions. Earlier this week, the 50-year-old star revealed she is throwing herself into her current 'Sticky and Sweet' world tour to take her mind off her personal troubles. She said: "I'm sad about my personal life, but I feel very blessed and very lucky that I have the opportunity to do what I do in my professional life. It would be horrible if I was just thinking about getting a divorce and had nothing to do."

  • Peter Ram 'Tight' with Jamaica

After combining successfully with Jamaican music video director, Jay Will, for the video Pumpin in his homeland of Barbados, Peter Ram has for the first time used Jamaica as a backdrop in his newest video for the popular soca single Tight.

Jay Will was once again given the enviable task of sourcing, casting and directing beautiful women for this video, which in Peter's words will "highlight how wonderful a woman's figure looks in a white jeans". Peter Ram wrote Tight using the ever popular freestyle method. "Most of the tune I freestyle. I would go in studio and just sing it out of my head and just deal with it," he said.

    Poor people party

Peter Ram has recently voiced on Kurt Riley's new 'one-drop' Golden Gate rhythm, a song called Dance Nice, which touches on a topic quite familiar to Jamaicans. "It is about the police coming to stop poor people party. We would have a party on the block and five, 10 tune play and the police come and done everything. That is where the vibe come from," he said.

    All-inclusive goes live

For the first time in Jamaica, party fans will get a chance to enjoy the exclusive ambiance of an all-inclusive party, while being entertained by some of Jamaica's most talented and popular reggae artistes.

Rasta Rules will, on Saturday, December 6, stage the first all-inclusive party fused with a live concert, dubbed 'It's A Reggaelution', featuring reggae superstar Buju Banton, the ever-cool Tarrus Riley, international reggae band Rootz Underground and 'the strong one' Etana, live on stage at the Liguanea Club. Master spin doctors Arif 'Supa Coop' Cooper and Delano from Renaissance will ensure the musical vibes are perfect.
