Halt the murders
published: Wednesday | December 3, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

With the level of brutal savagery that criminals continue to display, there can be absolutely no compromise. Criminals are hunting down fellow human beings and slaying them like animals in the Kalahari desert of Africa.

This kind of lawlessness cannot be compromised. Persons found guilty of these brutal acts must be put to death, so that the society can cleanse itself of those who wish to cause terror in other people's life.

Strong believer

I say to all those persons who are opposed to the death penalty; have you thought for a moment, how much suffering people of this country have undergone in the last 20 years? I say to the authorities, you don't have to use the hangman, use the lethal injection instead.

I am, etc.,
