Another stew
1 The disgraced one is said to be prowling the corridors of power, advising all who will listen that it is his time now, and so contracts should not be sent to tender but that they should be automatically given to a certain company. He is now in another stew!
Caution note
2 Some are saying that in the rush to canonise him, there were those who were cautioning the 'powers that be' against such a hasty move. Now we know why.
What informs policy
3 Stakeholders and serious economists are mystified as to what it is that informs policy decisions as they say elsewhere in the world, other nations serious about stimulating growth in their economy are reducing interest rates.
Tough going
4 Dinner out in the west went well. Except for the uppity one who rushed for a high seat but found the going rather tough, as the company she sought out was not at all welcoming.
National treasures
5 There is a sense of growing urgency among some for an immediate audit of our national treasures, as talk spread of lack of proper inventory capacity. The cry is for lots more checks and balances to rein in those who would treat national property as their own.
Boorish speaker
6 Some guests simply walked out from the high-profile dinner as they found the guest speaker rather boorish. He was more prepared to ramble on about himself, rather than shed some light on the institution that hosted him.
Time to go!
7 Some supporters are busy packing kit and caboodle and heading for greener pastures, having become convinced that those in charge are literally clueless. Some are even daring to admit that the Tutor was right when he asserted the pupil would not make a good administrator.
Back home?
8 Remember the one who assaulted his companion and then fled under the cover of darkness? Some say he was spotted in Kingston recently!
It's a lemon!
9 The customer thought she had paid for a new motor vehicle, but ever since receiving same there has been nothing but problems, prompting others to adjudge she was given a lemon. Well, some independents were called in and they have now agreed it was a lemon. The Fair Trading Commission is now stepping into the breach.
Stay put
10 Seems like now they can't get him out! So now there are negotiations afoot for him to legally acquire same! Needles to say, no one is amused, especially those now forced to be looking around for accommodation.
