It's that time of the year again when the fab go a-partying, the chic are in demand and the uber-class goes into social withdrawal. Restricting their appearances to only that of very close and intimate outings, while the social wannabes go scurrying all over, forever seeking the very elusive invite of the season.

If y'all have not yet confirmed your reservations for those fab parties at Hedonism Resorts - Hedonism II in Negril and Hedonism III in St Ann - then, y'all might be among the many missing out on this year's Christmas and New Year's celebrations as SuperClubs Resorts are boasting near 100 per cent bookings.

It promises (as usual) to be one fabulously hot season this year.

Santa will be making his appearance at Hedo II, buffed to perfection in what promises to be a spectacular international male revue, as a number of the world's leading male dancers will be making a pre-Christmas show-stomping exotic-styled performance on the weekend of November 18-22.

Generating interest

It is already generating so much energy, it promises to be nothing short of a sub-tropical fab-heat wave. And with the pioneering Kevin Levee being the new man back at the hotel, y'all know we are talking nothing but a rip-roaring party season here!

And while Levee is making the resort sizzle, his fab wife, glamour-puss Cecile Levee, is forging an international culinary identity and style all her very own with her fabulously chic Wine With Me Wine Bar, Bistro and Restaurant in Montego Bay.

(But something has simply got to be done about that Mount Rosser corridor, as last Saturday afternoon saw a traffic accident that not only had motorists suffering interminable delays as they waited on the police to effect clearance of the roadway, it ruined a number of social plans and resulted in a number of personalities missing the season-ending guest chefs performance at Wine With Me).

And with the guest chef for last Saturday being the inimitable doyenne of haute-cuisine Norma Shirley, y'all know we are talking hot stuff here and nothing but!

For those who missed the do, the buzz is Shirley took no prisoners and dismissed all pretenders to the throne, as she decimated her would-be contenders and aspirants with a two-day showing that was art.

The buzz is an oxtail stew that was to die for. The lamb was a rendezvous with the senses, and was served with the style and panache that is known only to true masters of their craft. Pity here, however, that those with that discriminating palate and a sense and appreciation for haute cuisine must wait until next year some time for the return of the master chefs series.

Parties everywhere

Then, it rained fab parties everywhere last weekend.

First, there was the absolutely fab Thanksgiving dinner Mark and Julie Jones hosted at their Stony Hill residence on Thursday, celebrating life, family and friends that was really one fine humdinger of a do!

Then, there was the mother-daughter duo in Capistrano Beach where Frances Allison and her daughter, Cherise Francis-Windle, did a double birthday celebration.

In Ocho Rios, it was all about the fabulous Eva Myers of the famed Evita's Restaurant, as the restaurateur and businesswoman celebrated her birthday.

Mayor of Kingston Desmond McKenzie celebrated his on Monday. The lovely Karlene Pinnock celebrated her special day on Tuesday the 2nd, and Raymond Douglas celebrated in London on Wednesday.

And what do PR dynamo Jean Lowrie-Chin, retail and wholesale mogul Lascelles Chin and Prime Minister Bruce Golding have in common? All three share the same birth date, December 5, and so are celebrating their birthdays today.

A week later, however, it will be PNP President Portia Simpson Miller who will be blowing out the candles on her birthday cake, and the buzz is the celebration will be an intimate and fab do.

Also celebrating on the 12th is the fab Sandra McCarty; Moya Baston will make it a party on the 14th in Dubai, the same day as Lionel McNeil of the famed Round Hill Villas and Resort will celebrate.

Champagne wishes and beluga treats all around y'all!.
