Smelly scandals

1 With news of scandals everywhere people all over are running for cover, as the latest story is as smelly as nine-day-old cabbage water. The problem is hugely political and will not go away this time since there isn't just a local investigation, but an international one.

In with the old?

2 The scandal out west this week is that the husband has decided to move on by returning to his old ways after he caught the wife in flagrante delicto with an old flame!

Don't kill the messenger

3 Some are still hoping that the one who sought to chastise the messenger for daring to present his findings will address them, now that the attempt to obfuscate with legalese red herring did not wash!

Bring in stiffer penalties

4 The consensus is, the time for talking is way gone. What people are looking for are concrete measures to stem the social haemorrhage and dislocation caused by the absence of resolute measures to arrest the sense of dread, gloom and despair.

The parties are over

5 The news that some of the seasonal parties will be absent from the social calendar has left many in a tizzy and the social circuit in a state of shock! And with no contingency party anywhere in sight, gloom is the order of the day in some quarters.

You've gotta go

6 Some are upset that one official, who insisted that another, who owes over $100 million in back taxes pay up, was either fired or suspended for wanting to do his job!

Merry 'cashmas'

7 Seems that a number of people caused quite a buzz on the circuit recently, as when they were asked what would be their preferred gift this season, they replied: "Would much prefer cash."

'Poor bruce!'

8 The refrain of the week is "Poor Bruce!" as people are convinced he has very little to work with!

Why bother

9 Some are asking why create a new exe-cutive chairman, when those already in existence have proven so problematic?

More material, more problems?

10 Is it a case of there being more purchasers of the beach material than previously thought?
