Garvaundo Hamilton
We all have favourites, whether it's a hot hang-out spot or that song that you can't seem to stop humming. This week, Garvaundo Hamilton, 20, reveals his top five Jamaican songs.
Education is the key to success. In today's society, we mainly have single mothers who are striving to get the best for their children. Young people, it's not time to waste your parents' time and money. Time hard! Don't drop out of school and waste time when jobs suh scarce. Listen the lyrics of this song and try to understand the message because I did and now this song is one of my favourites.
What a sweet voice the lady has? Anytime I feel down and need some form of motivation, I just listen to this song or hum the lyrics. After that, I start to feel better; that's why I love this song. This song is one of those songs that when you listen it, yuh don't need guidance and counselling.
The melody and the lyrics of this song are just beautiful! The lyrics are very inspiring. You have to pause and really think about the message that the man is sending. This song, for me, has the perfect combination - sweet melody and a positive message. You can actually use it as a prayer.
Everybody dun know, Bob a di boss! Already declared 'King of Reggae'. Given the fact that this song is a universal anthem, one can easily communicate that feeling of 'one love' through the lyrics of this song. My dream is to one day have a number-one hit of this calibre.
The lyrical content of this song reflects what is taking place in our society. To me, the tone of the song is soothing, (and is good) for meditation. Yuh done know that real yard man have to hol' a meds now and again. Gyptian knows what he's saying and brings a new sound to the music scene. Big up to mi artiste, da one yah bad!
