My Jamaican top 5

Omar Frith
This week, Saturday Life explores the Jamaican locations that hold unforgettable memories for Omar Frith, 31.
5. Port Royal
I personally get an ominous vibe when I'm there. The history behind the place makes my personal experience feel so valuable and the view of the bay is just spectacular.
Port Royal is also a very calm place and the people are welcoming. The scenery and the ambience put me in a sort of trance, where I can just relax and think about life on a whole.
4. Frenchman's Cove
The cove is not as perilous as the Blue Lagoon. It offers a perfect location for honeymooners. I spent a part of my honeymoon there; you can see that that place is very special to me and, indeed, holds lifelong memories.
Frenchman's Cove has the whole package: location, environment, the whole experience.
3. Blue Lagoon
The natural attraction offers tremendous excitement, leisure, though danger is a breath away. The depth of the lagoon alone should be frightening for someone to venture out there, but still it has this attractive glare.
Part of its attraction lies within the obvious peril that is ominous to the onlooker. Blue Lagoon is definitely a Jamaican hot spot for me, scenery and all.
2. Blue Mountains
So far, the Blue Mountains remain untainted by the claws of man. It has sustained minimal scarring from man's activities. The Blue Mountains are very calm and beautiful.
For me, it's also a symbolic physical challenge of hiking. Hiking the Blue Mountains represents an overwhelming challenge that you will overcome. It cannot be described but experienced, (and) such is the journey of life.
1. Mandeville
Mandeville is a very cool and serene town. I like the landscape, the general vibe and the people. The temperament of the people seems to be in sync with the physical environment - stunning! I like the centrality of the town and the homey feeling I get when I visit, considering that I was born there.
I think it's the only place I always look forward to going back, no matter where I am and where I live. This place holds a lot of my childhood memories and it is my top spot!
