Christopher Zacca, deputy chairman of the ATL Group of Companies, will be leaving after 18 years of service.

While the specific details behind his departure from the company were not disclosed, chairman of ATL Group, Gordon 'Butch' Stewart, said in a release yesterday that both parties had arrived at a mutual agreement.

"He has my full support in whatever he chooses to do next and I wish him all the best," said Stewart.

Zacca's resig-nation takes effect on September 30, 2009. According to the release, he leaves the group to pursue his own business interests.

"I also owe a huge debt of gratitude to the team, not only for their support over the years, but in particular for their extra sacrifice and hard work over the past two and a half years, which allowed me the privilege and personal satisfaction of undertaking the time-consuming job of serving the nation's private sector as president of the PSOJ (Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica)," said Zacca.

Zacca recently handed the PSOJ presidential baton to Joseph M. Matalon, chairman of the ICD Group of Companies, after serving for two years and six months.

A successor for Zacca was not immediately named but Stewart, in the release, stated that there was great talent and energy within the ATL Group.
