Travelling along Old Harbour Road in St Catherine, one cannot help but notice a small vineyard on the Amity Hall property.

The entrance opens to a magnificent array of short- and long-term cash crops nurtured by Clifford Dennis.

It reflects a 'garden for all seasons', with patches of okra, pak choi, callaloo, sweet cassava, sorrel, sweet potato and several other domestic crops.

"I used to carry people to market. Mi start face hardship, suh mi start farming an', trus' mi, a hard work, but mi a live, " Dennis says.

Dennis, 44, declares that okra and callaloo are his best sellers.
