Guinness tickets limited to texts
Due to an overwhelming demand, tickets to the Arthur Guinness Celebration are now restricted to 'Text and Win' winners.
All tickets for the '4 Crowns for 1 Ticket' have been depleted.
Since the promotion was launched back in late August, consumers had been collecting and exchanging their four specially marked red Guinness crowns for tickets to the illustrious one-night concert event that will feature the likes of international mega super star Busta Rhymes, Wyclef Jean, Shaggy, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Lady Saw, Wayne Wonder, Freddie McGregor and the Big Ship Family and Mavado.
Now the only way to win tickets to the Arthur Guinness Celebration is through texting a unique code on the Guinness red crowns to 44GREAT (444-7328).
According to Gary Dixon, Guinness brand manager some 260 persons on average have won tickets via texting per day; and standard texting rates apply.
"What I can tell you now is that, texting the code under the red cap is the only way for a chance to win a ticket to the show; I am urging those winners who have been notified of their winnings to go to the collection centres to pick up their tickets," Dixon said.
The Guinness brand manager added that claim details were presently in the press and online on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/Guinness-Caribbean) and that patrons are urged to act swiftly as all tickets must be collected by Thursday, October 21, the final date for redemption.
Claim
Proper identification plus the text message outlining winnings will be required to claim the free ticket.
Only a specific number of tickets were printed for the stellar event according to the stadium capacity and with that, only persons with legitimate tickets will be allowed inside the venue.
The massive concert event in celebration of Guinness founder, Sir Arthur, takes place at the National Stadium on Saturday, October 23.
