- Financial Disclosure by Politicians.
All elected officials would be required to disclose annually their income,
assets and liabilities, which will be made public.
- Regulation of Political Funding.
Political parties would be required to disclose their accounts annually
and report to the Electoral Commission financial contributions which exceed
$25,000 for individuals and $250,000 for groups and corporate entities.
- Term Limits. The Prime Minister
could not serve more than two consecutive terms. MP's could not serve more
than three terms.
- Parliamentary Salaries. The Prime
Minister, Deputy Prime Ministerand the Cabinet cannot vote fat salaries
for themselves. Instead their increases would be tied to raises granted
to the public sector.
