We Need Your Help!

We are looking for a Logo for the Caribbean Disaster Information Network (CARDIN). If you have ideas, design a logo for us and win a prize.

 

 

The Caribbean Disaster Information Network (CARDIN) was established in June 1999 to provide linkages with Caribbean disaster organizations, to widen the scope of the collection of disaster related information, and to ensure improved access to such material.

The main goal is to collect, index, disseminate and use of disaster-related information in the English, Spanish, Dutch and French speaking Caribbean and contribute towards the strengthening of a Regional Disaster Information System in Latin America and the Caribbean region

Submission Deadline: June 22, 2001

Who can take part?

  • The General Public and students from Secondary Schools, Colleges, Universities.

Logo Design

  • Strong, bold and dynamic. The logo should reflect the objectives of the Caribbean Disaster Information Network.
  • Designer is free to choose the colours.
  • The logo must include the words Caribbean Disaster Information Network and CARDIN.
  • Graphic quality should be good in both electronic or print formats.
  • It must be effective at all sizes from a thumbnail to a large poster.

Rules of the Competition

  • Entries should be original in design. CARDIN will not be liable for any copyright infringements.
  • Each participant may submit a maximum of two entries.
  • Preparation costs are to be borne by the participant.
  • Entries submitted are non-returnable and the winning entry will become the property of CARDIN.
  • Decision by the judges is final.
  • Winners will be notified.
  • CARDIN reserves the right to modify or alter the logo design for future use.
  • Each entry should be presented mounted on a board not exceeding A3 paper size, and also on a 3.5 diskette.
  • Name of Designer, Age, Home Address and Telephone no., School (if applicable), Rationale for Design, should be clearly recorded on the back of each mounted presentation.

Deadline

  • Entries must reach the organizer by the end of June 22, 2001. Late submissions will not be entertained.
  • Results will be announced in June 2001.

Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged based on suitability, aesthetics, originality and creativity.
